Betty Ann Foushee Summers
 

 
 BURLINGTON – Betty Ann Foushee Summers, 80, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Hospice Home following several years of failing health.
 
 She was born April 16, 1936 in Alamance County to the late Charles and Edith Hoard Foushee.
 
 She was married for 59 years to Bernice “B.L.” “Shorty” Summers, Sr.
 
 She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
 
 She is survived by her husband B.L. “Shorty”; sons, Lee (Victoria) Summers, Jr., Joseph (Sandra) Summers; daughter, Renee (Sid) Spence; grandchildren, Kelly Ann Pennington, Ashleigh Summers and Chris Cheek.
 
 She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Kayla Ann Summers and a grandson, Rusty Summers.
 
 The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrell Massey.
 
 Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
 
 The family will receive friends 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home.
 
 Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
 
 The family would like to say a special thank you to Hospice for their loving care of Mrs. Summers.
