Even though Fannie's death certificate says Fannie was born in IL that is NOT correct as every census says she was born in NC and her parents did NOT live in IL.
Her parents were Wm Anderson Jones and Sarah Ellen Shoffner ( who married Isaac Holt after Wm A Jones died) -- the full names of Fannie's parents comes from the will of Henry Shoffner ( 1862 Guildford Co., NC) who was the father of Sarah Ellen ( Shoffner) Jones / Holt, their marriage license that says Wm Anderson Jones and the 1850 census that say Sarah E Shoffner as well as the 1860 census where Fannie was listed by her middle name.
