Child Succumbs Result Of Burns; Rites Tomorrow
Jimmie Hensley, two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon S. Hensley of Elon, route 1, died at 6:30 last night as a result of severe burns suffered at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon when his clothes accidentally caught fire at home.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at Shallow Ford Christian church and interment will be made in the church cemetery. Rev. Everett Bailey will be the officiating minister and will be assisted by Rev. Stanfield.
The child's body will be removed from a local funeral establishment late this afternoon to the home of the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Bright on Lakeside extension.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon S. Hensley, and one brother, Jack Hensley, of the home, four grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Bright and Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Hensley, the latter of Elon, route 1.
