Charles Edgar "Ed" Apple, 84, of Route 2, Gibsonville, died unexpectedly at a.m. Wednesday at his home.
A native of Guilford County, he was the son of the late Lewis and Alice Kernodle APPLE and husband of the late Bessie Tucker APPLE.
He was a farmer and a member of APPLE's United Church of Christ.
Surviving are: sons. Harvey APPLE of McLeansville, Aubrey APPLE and Elwood APPLE, both of Gibsonville; daughter, Mrs.. Edith A. APPLE Kennedy of McLeansville; fifteen grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Final rites will be p.m. Friday at APPLE's United Church of Christ with the Rev. Odell Powell, former pastor, and the Rev. Don Ledbetter, pastor of Brown's Wesleyan Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Bartlett Funeral Home. 241
