BURLINGTON — Mrs. Ruth White McCall, 83, of 2533 Orice St., Burlington, went to be with her Lord and Savior at her residence on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 4:15 a.m..
A native of Franklinton, she was the wife of Walter B. McCall, who survives and the daughter of George D. White and Mary Rose White, both deceased. She was a retired employee of Collins & Aikman and a member of Wicker Street Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband of their home, survivors include two daughters, Brenda McCall Summers and Jerry Ross of Burlington and Edna McCall Parker of Burlington; one son, Larry B. McCall and wife Brenda of Charleston, S.C.; a sister, Martha White Hicklin of Burlington; three brothers, James White and wife Gail of Graham, George D. White and wife Betty of Burlington and Wade White of Burlington; and four grandchildren, Bryan McCall, Brandon Summers and wife Katie, Joshua Summers and Justin Leath.
The funeral service will be conducted at Wicker Street Baptist Church on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Tommy Love. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Wednesday from 5 until 7 p.m. Other times they will be at the residence.
