Leo Scott Dabbs Sr.
 

 
 BURLINGTON — Leo Scott Dabbs Sr., 87, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after five years of failing health. He was born in Caswell County and was the son of the late O.M. Dabbs, Sr. and the late Nellie Oakley Dabbs. He was married for 62 years to Doris Rudd Dabbs who preceded him in death. Leo was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the VFW, the Color Guard and the Caswell Ruritan.
 
 Survivors include a son, Scott (Cindy) Dabbs of Maple Valley, WA; grandchildren, Katie Dabbs, Daniel Dabbs, Rhonda Parker Weiss, Amanda Parker Hassler; great grandchildren, Hannah Dickerson, Ashleigh Dickerson, Keegan Hassler, Chase Britten and Natalie Britten; brother, George Earl Dabbs of Burlington and nephews, Tony Dabbs and Douglas Dabbs. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a daughter Carolyn Dabbs Parker and brothers, O.M. Dabbs Jr., W.B. “Pete” Dabbs and Lawrence R. Dabbs.
 
 The memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Oakview Presbyterian Church by Rev. Bob Hillman with inurnment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 prior to the service at the church.
