 BURLINGTON - Peggy Lou Tingen Massey, 81 of Boone Rd., Burlington passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 at her home.
 
 A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Daniel D. Massey and daugher of the late Walter Raleigh and Vancie Louellen Herron Tingen.
 
 She attended Elon College after which she was employed by Western Electric for 10 years.
 
 She was then Secretary for Alamance Ready Mix Concrete and later started her own business, Peggy's Ceramic Shop. Many people enjoyed classes and fellowship at Peggy's Ceramic Shop.
 
 She enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles, reading and was a member of Graham Presbyterian Church.
 
 Survivors include her son, Randy Massey and wife Cheryl of Burlington, David Massey, MD and wife Roxann of Stuarts Draft, VA, Philip Massey and wife Amy of Burlington and Christopher Massey of Burlington; grandchildren, Tyler Massey, Ashley Massey, DVM, Brittany M. Tomb, Bryan Massey, Chelsea Massey and Shannon Massey; two great-grandchildren Charlotte and Rex Tomb; sister, Nellie Tingen Isley of Graham.
 
 Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, August 25th, 2016 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Gerald Sanders and Rev. David Jackson.
 
 Following the service, the family will receive friends and host a reception in honor of their mother.
 
 A private graveside service will be held at the Mausoleum in Alamance Memorial Park.
