William "Bill" Franklin Dixon Jr.
July 30, 1947 ~ May 6, 2024 (age 76)

William F. “Bill” Dixon, Jr., 76, of Burlington, NC passed away at AuthoraCare Hospice Home on Monday, May 6, 2024.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Peggy Dixon, who survives and the son of William Franklin Dixon, Sr. and Naomi Johnson Dixon, both deceased.

Bill was a 1965 graduate of Southern High School and 1969 graduate of N. C. State University with a degree in Textile Technology. He obtained his Master’s Degree from Duke University in Business. He was the owner of PCI Sales. He enjoyed reading the Rock and Gem Magazine, stamp collecting, and was a member of AATCC. Bill was also a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church where he served as Superintendent of the Sunday School program for over 20 years.

In addition to his wife of their home, survivors include his daughter, Linda Dixon of their home, brother, Terry Dixon of Graham; sister, Sharon Dixon Doss and husband Tommy of Graham; several loving nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Anne Dixon of Chapel Hill.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Dixon.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Kevin Conley and Rev. E. Reid Dickens with the family receiving friends following the service.
