Evelyn Elmore Robertson, 90, of Burlington passed away at Ashton Health and Rehabilitation in McLeansville, NC on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Larry Edward Robertson, Sr. and the daughter of Rev. Samuel Earl Elmore and Grace Lee Bivens Elmore, both deceased. She was a 1951 graduate of Graham High School and a 1954 graduate of Burlington City School of Nursing. Evelyn later retired from nursing after many years of service with Dr. S. Vance Huffman. She was a former member of Pleasant Grove Home Extension Club. Evelyn was a member of Longs Chapel Church where she was a former Deacon and member of the Women’s Fellowship, Bible Study Group, Sunshine Class, she attended Bethel Christian Church.
Survivors include a son, Larry E. Robertson, Jr. of the home; two grandchildren, David Ross and wife Hannah and Julie Parker and husband Avery; one great grandchild, Whitley Parker; son-in-law, Phil Ross (Renee). She was preceded in death by a daughter, Leesa Ross.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends following the service.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Pleasant Grove Fireman for their acts of kindness and service.
