Lillie "Ann" Barts Byrd
May 12, 1943 ~ February 11, 2022 (age 78)
Lillie “Ann” Barts Byrd of Burlington, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 following six years of declining health.
Ann was a native of Caswell County, she was the loving wife of C. G. Byrd, Jr, who survives and the daughter of James Coy Barts and Lillie Mae Barts, both deceased.
Ann touched many lives through her kindness and generosity. She loved spending time with her family and friends and cherished each relationship.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, C. G. Byrd, Jr.; her son, Lee Byrd and wife Deborah; two grandchildren, Jonathan Byrd and Joseph Byrd all of Burlington; and three sisters, Margaret B. Minor, Catherine B. Campbell and husband Jimmy and Mary Ellen B. Robertson and husband Mark; sister-in-law, Frances Barts; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, Virginia B. Patton, Dorothy B. Gann, Betty B. Frazier, Olean B. Somers and Beatrice Williams; and one brother, J.C. Barts.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Rich & Thompson in Burlington with Pastors Fred Treadwell and Steve Loy officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:45 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the funeral service.
The family ask that if you choose to attend the visitation or service, please wear a mask. The funeral service will be livestreamed on the funeral home website.
