Beatrice “Bea” Barts Williams
REIDSVILLE – Beatrice “Bea” Barts Williams, of Reidsville, NC died peacefully January 13, 2018.
Born December 21, 1925, to Lillie Mae Jefferson and James Coy Barts, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ernest Williams, her daughter Terry Neal, her brother J.C. Barts, her sisters Dorothy Gann, Virginia Patton, and Betty Lee Frazier, and her son-inlaw Jerry Vanscoy.
While Mrs. Williams held a variety of jobs throughout her long life, she spent the majority of her years working as an inspector for Dan River Mills in Danville, VA. She was a devoted mother and longtime church member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church of Reidsville, NC. Mrs. Williams will be deeply missed.
Surviving is Mrs. Williams’ son, Michael Callahan of Burlington, NC; her daughter, Maureen Vanscoy of Reidsville, NC; her son Steve Williams (Jo) of White Lake, NC; her sisters Olean Somers of Altamahaw, NC, Margaret Ann Minor of Burlington, NC, Ann Byrd of Burlington, NC, Catherine Campbell of Reidsville, NC, and Mary Robertson of Elon, NC; her sister-in-law Frances Barts of Reidsville, NC; grandchildren Lisa (Alan) Fagg, Bryant Callahan, Melissa Callahan, Stacy Keller, Matthew (Stephanie) Williams and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2018, at Harrelson Funeral Services and other times at the home.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Harrelson Funeral Services in Yanceyville, NC by Pastor Tim Redman. Interment will follow at Trinity Baptist Missionary Church.
