RANDLEMAN - Alma Caviness Huffman, 96, of Old Greensboro Road, died Sunday, March 16, 2003, at GrayBrier Nursing and Retirement Center, Trinity.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Salem United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. David McCauley officiating.

Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.

She was a Randolph County native, a homemaker and the widow of Arlie Huffman.

Surviving are daughter, Bernice Varner of Wallburg; sons, Arlie "Buddy" Huffman Jr. of Trinity and Dean Huffman of Randleman; sisters, Alta York of Asheboro, Rebecca White of Elon, Donna Hinshaw and Mary Kimrey, both of Burlington; brothers, Billy Caviness and Tommy Caviness, both of Burlington; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman, 7-8:30 p.m. Monday; other times at her home.

Memorials may be made to New Salem United Methodist Church, 623 New Salem Road, Randleman, N.C. 27317.
