Robin Buckner Bonvillain, 54, of Elon, North Carolina, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, August 15th, 2023.
Robin is preceded in death by her sister, Pamela Bucker, father, Robert Buckner, and mother, Barbara Buckner.
She leaves behind her husband, Blaine Bonvillain, daughters, Hayley Bonvillain, Hilary Hardy and her husband Mitchell Hardy, and grandson, Myles Hardy.
Robin was a woman who marched to the beat of her own drum and lived life the way she wanted to live it. An avid sports fan, she was frequently found at Tiger Stadium or the Pete Maravich Center cheering for her Fightin’ Tigers of Louisiana. She was also true to her North Carolina roots regularly following Carolina Basketball. When not chasing sports, she was chasing music. She would often follow the Foo Fighters on the road multiple times a year. Family near to her remember her as a loving mother, proud aunt, doting “RoRo” and competitive pedro player.
A celebration of life and funeral mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Graham, North Carolina, on Friday August 18th, 2023 at 1:30pm. The burial will be held immediately following the funeral at Alamance Memorial Park at 3:00pm.
