November 19, 1937 ~ January 21, 2025 (age 87)
Carolyn Fogleman Pickard, 87, of Graham, NC passed away at her residence on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
A native of Alamance County, NC, she was the wife of the late John Donald Pickard and the daughter of John Fogleman and Margaret Williams Fogleman, both deceased.
She retired from the City of Burlington. Carolyn was a member of Alamance Lutheran Church where she served as organist for over 60 years.
She was also a member of Shamrock Ladies’ Association and was an avid golfer.
She enjoyed playing cards with her lady friends.
Carolyn was a loving mother and grandmother who would be there whenever she was needed and oh was she the best cook.
Survivors include a daughter, Gena Pickard of Graham; three sons, Rodney Tyler Pickard of Graham, John Pickard, Jr. of Graham, and Randy Max Saunders of Southern Shores; three grandchildren, Tyler Saunders, Heather Vaughn Bush (Brian), and Josh Saunders (Alexandra Miller-Saunders); eleven great-great grandchildren; and two brothers, Donald Fogleman (Dee) and Steve Fogleman (Sandra).
She was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Glen Fogleman.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted at Alamance Lutheran Church on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Jill King.
Burial will follow at Alamance Lutheran Church Cemetery. 261, Carolyn Fogleman Pickard
