Earl Page Ward
BURLINGTON — Earl Page Ward, 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 21, 2012, after a long fight with cancer.
Page was born July 18, 1933, in Rockingham County and is survived by his wife, Essie Greeson Ward; two step-children, Nancy Fogleman (Dennis) and Ricky Whitesell; two brothers, Allen Ward (Bobbie) and John Thomas Ward, all of Reidsville; two sisters, Nellie Childress, of Reidsville, and Betty Jo Gilbert (Dave) of Gibsonville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Wilson Page Ward; and a brother, Junior Ward.
He was loved by many nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren. Page loved to watch old westerns on TV and listen to good country music.
A memorial service will be held Monday, July 23, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. Officiating will be the Rev. Dave Gilbert.
The family will greet friends immediately after the service and other times will be at the residence, 1339 Pollard Ave., Burlington.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Alamance Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Hospice for all the good care they gave to Page and the family.
