BURLINGTON – Mr. Frank Hunter, 91, of 2117 Young Street, Burlington died at the Hospice Home on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 4:00 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Brona Lee Pickard Hunter and the son of Hoyt Willard Hunter and Irene Wilkerson Hunter, both deceased.
Mr. Hunter was a veteran of the U.S. Army-Air Force and a former supervisor for Alexander Fabrics.
He was a member of the Alamance County Bluegrass Boys, a banjo player, a mechanic for the family race car and an avid fisherman.
Survivors include two sons, Dana Hunter of Burlington and Greg Hunter and wife Maria Isabel of Yorktown, VA and a granddaughter, Catherine Melissa Hunter.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ivan Hunter and John Hunter.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. Walter Jones with the family receiving friends from 1:30 p.m. til 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
