Martha Norman Duckworth, age 86, of Norman Road, Boone, the Foscoe Community, died November 21, 2015 at Watauga Medical Center. She was born February 15, 1929 in Watauga County. She was a homemaker, and attended Grace Baptist Church in Foscoe.
Martha is survived by three daughters, Barbara Jean Blair of Elk Park, Brazilla Norris and husband Wade of Todd, and Melissa Munday and husband Terry of Creston; one son, Ronnie Duckworth and wife Deborah of Banner Elk; nine grandchildren, Deanna Eirich and husband Steve, Daniel Duckworth, Vanessa Ward and husband Ricky, Bobby Blair and wife Misty, Amanda Munday, Jared Munday and wife Ashley, Jeremy Munday, Rebecca Norris and fiancé Michael Hardy, and Jessica May and husband Ben; and ten great-grandchildren, Emily Ward, Logan, Skylar, Kara and Allie Blair, Deovion Norris, Addison and Isla Erich & Connor Munday, and Sarah Jane May. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gurney Duckworth, Jr.; her father and mother Clyde Mitchell and Cordie Caroline McLean Norman; two sisters, Gwendolyn Norman and Verlla Harrison; and four brothers, Raleigh, Eugene, Howard and Edward Norman.
Funeral services were held at Grace Baptist Church in Foscoe. Burial in the Tanglewood Cemetery in Linville. 470, Martha Norman Duckworth
