WHITSETT - Mr. Raymond Clyde Greeson, 84, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the Hospice Home after 3 years of failing health. He was born in Guilford County to the late John Claude Greeson and the late Lillie Greeson and was married for 64 years to Betty Caviness Greeson who survives.
Raymond was a retired general contractor and was a member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Terry Feaster of Whitsett; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Susan Greeson of Oak Ridge; four grandchildren, two great grandsons; brothers, Ernest Greeson and Darce Greeson both of Whitsett; special friend, James Morehead of Whitsett.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Randy Greeson; brothers, Marvin, Luther, Vance, Thurman and Horace Greeson.
The graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Mt. Hope United Church of Christ Cemetery by the Rev. Lloyd Spencer. There will be no visitation. At other times the family will be at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 or to Mt. Hope United Church of Christ, 2400 Mt. Hope Church Rd., Whitsett, NC 27377. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Greeson family.

Betty Caviness Greeson, 90, went to be with her heavenly father on Saturday, January 21, 2023.
She was born on July 30, 1932 in Randolph County to the late Armp Caviness and Nellie Madge Langley Caviness, and was the wife of 64 years to the late Raymond Clyde Greeson who died in 2012.
Betty retired after 28 years from Sears Catalog Center. She was a member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ and her favorite pastimes were gardening and spending her days tending to her flowers. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed.
Betty leaves behind her daughter, Carolyn Feaster; a son, Michael Greeson (Susan); her grandchildren, Dennis Clapp (Laura), Julie Powell (Jay), Madeliene Greeson and Will Hennis; great grandchildren, Dottie Brock, Ashton Clapp and Ethan Powell; a great great grandson, Bentlee Wilson; her siblings, Gladys Shafer, Clifton "Tip" Caviness (Norma) and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Randy C. Greeson; her parents; siblings, Clarence M. Caviness, Dorothy “Dot” C. Hinton and Martha C. Greeson; son-in-law, Terry Feaster; brother-in-law, Odell Greeson; and sister-in-law, Deanne Caviness.
The family will be having a gathering on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at the daughter's home in Whitsett.
Betty’s cremains will be buried at Mt. Hope UCC at a later date.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Lisa for all of her help and loving care and to the staff and nurses at Community Hospice for their compassion, loving care and support during Betty’s illness.
