Raymond was the son of John Clyde and Lillie Greeson. He married Betty Caviness and they were the parents of three children: Nancy Carolyn, Randy Clyde and Michael R.

WHITSETT - Mr. Raymond Clyde Greeson, 84, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the Hospice Home after 3 years of failing health. He was born in Guilford County to the late John Claude Greeson and the late Lillie Greeson and was married for 64 years to Betty Caviness Greeson who survives.

Raymond was a retired general contractor and was a member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ.

Survivors other than his wife of the home include a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Terry Feaster of Whitsett; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Susan Greeson of Oak Ridge; four grandchildren, two great grandsons; brothers, Ernest Greeson and Darce Greeson both of Whitsett; special friend, James Morehead of Whitsett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Randy Greeson; brothers, Marvin, Luther, Vance, Thurman and Horace Greeson.

The graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Mt. Hope United Church of Christ Cemetery by the Rev. Lloyd Spencer. There will be no visitation. At other times the family will be at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 or to Mt. Hope United Church of Christ, 2400 Mt. Hope Church Rd., Whitsett, NC 27377. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Greeson family.
