Lillie Wellons Squires
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Lillie Wellons Squires, 85, of 323 Baldwin Road, Burlington died at White Oak Manor on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at 4:20 p.m. following a lengthy illness.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Clyde Lee Squires and the daughter of Java Wellons and Bessie Gant Wellons, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a member of Long’s Chapel Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Kueider and husband Scott of Oak Ridge; stepdaughter, Kay Lewis of Mebane; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Squires, two sisters and one brother.
A graveside service will be conducted at Long’s Chapel Cemetery on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. R. J. Zupancich. The family will greet friends in the church fellowship hall after the service.
