Guinevere Thomas Isley
GIBSONVILLE — Mrs. Guinevere Thomas Isley, 87, of 7326 Dew Sharpe Road, died at the Hospice Home on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 at 1:45 a.m.
A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of the late Everett Joel “Jack” Isley Jr. and the daughter of Harper J. Thomas and Cordia Shepherd Thomas, both deceased. She was formerly employed in the textile industry and was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Isley and wife Joy of Gibsonville and Joel Isley and wife Julie Boone of Gibsonville; three grandchildren, Katie White and husband Jay, Jodie Lineberry and husband Paul and Emily Thouin; one greatgranddaughter, Kinley White; sister, Sybil Yancey of Mebane; and three brothers, Kent Thomas of Gibsonville, Coy Thomas of Haw River and James Thomas of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Carlene Thomas and brother, Winfred Thomas.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. by Ricky Cox and the Rev. Hobart Isley. Burial will follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. Other times they will be at the residence.
In lieu of fl owers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or to a religious organization of your choice.
