 BURLINGTON — Mrs. Nannie Lou Gwyn, 89, of 2625 Catherine Drive, died at the Hospice Home on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, at 7:20 a.m.
 
 A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late K. W. “Jack” Gwyn and the daughter of James Alanzo Campbell and Nannie Fitch Campbell, both deceased. She retired from Glen Raven Mills after 38 years of service and was a volunteer at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Nannie Lou was a member of First Christian United Church of Christ where she was a deacon and member of the Iris McEwen Sunday School Class and Women’s Fellowship. She was also a member of the American Business Women’s Association and was the recipient of the 1986 Chapter Woman of the Year. She was a supporter of Relay for Life.
 
 Survivors include a daughter, Linda Smith and husband Mike of Burlington; son, Ronnie Wade Gwyn and wife Crane of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; two grandchildren, Heather Smith Carson and Brian Alan Smith; seven greatgrandchildren, Aaliya, Aubrey and Avery Carson, Abbi and Rebekah Brandenburg, Grayson Holt and Porter Smith; brother, John Manley Campbell and wife Polly of Matthews, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
 
 She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Devon Carson Jr. and brother, James Robert Campbell.
 
 The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Beth Kennett.
 
 The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
 
 Memorials may be made to the First Christian United Church of Christ, 415 South Church Street, Burlington, NC 27215 or to Hospice League of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
 
 The family would like to express appreciation to Life Path staff, Hospice Home staff and special caregivers, Jeanette Locklear and Dora Bullard.
