ELON Mrs. Aubrey Powell Chrismon, 90, died Friday, April 2, 2004, at Alamance Regional Medical Center, after four months of failing health.
The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Monday, at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Randall Harvey and Layman Jim Owen. Burial will follow in Shallow Ford United Church of Christ Cemetery.
She was born in Anson County, N.C., to the late Giles Aubrey Powell and the late Pansy Williams Powell and was married to the late Lee Boyd Chrismon who died in 1979.
Mrs. Chrismon was a homemaker and member of Shallow Ford United Church of Christ. She loved gardening and all types of flowers. She was a member of the Extension Homemakers of Alamance County, Community Club of Elon and Friend O'Rose Garden Club of Gibsonville.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Doris Chrismon McCracken; brothers, Giles Alton Powell, Bernard Powell and Harvey Powell.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center of Alamance and to the staff at the Critical Care Unit at Alamance Regional Medical Center, for the care that Mrs. Chrismon receive. 470, Aubrey Powell Chrismon
