Ruby Ingle Bowman 


    ALAMANCE — Mrs. Ruby Ingle Bowman , 93, of Alamance, N.C., died at Burlington Manor on Tuesday, August 7, 2007, following one month of declining health.
    A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Jasper Wyatt "Jack" Bowman  and the daughter of Eugene Graham Ingle  and Mary Alma "Mamie" Whitesell Ingle , both deceased. She retired from Kayser-Roth Hosiery. She was a lifetime member of Low’s Lutheran Church.
    Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Sara B. Shoffner and husband, Leonard of Alamance; one sister, Miss Eunice Ingle  of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by two sisters, Miss Clara Frances Ingle  and Mrs. Annie Dare Graves and two brothers, Mr. Norman Ingle  and Mr. Clayton Ingle .
    The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, August 9, 2007, at 3 p.m by the Rev. Dr. David Mielke. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
    The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington on Thursday from 2 until 3 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence of her daughter, Sara Shoffner of Alamance.
    Memorials may be made to Low’s Lutheran Church, 2136 N.C. 61 South, Liberty, N.C. 27298, or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
