Sara Bowman Shoffner, 88, of Burlington passed away at Terrabella Greensboro on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Leonard R. Shoffner and the daughter of Jasper Wyatt “Jack” Bowman and Ruby Ingle Bowman, both deceased. She retired from Western Electric and was active in crafts, art, and photography. Sara was a lifetime member of Low’s Lutheran Church. She was also a charter member of Alamance Pilot’s Association and the E. M. Holt VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary. She had a great love for her dogs and loved to spend time at her Emerald Isle beach home.
Sara is survived by numerous dear cousins and extended family.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. John Mark Beam with the family receiving friends from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
