Mr. Jasper “Jack” Bowman

ALAMANCE — Mr. Jasper “Jack” Bowman, 89, of Alamance, died at 9:28 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2003, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mrs. Ruby Ingle Bowman, who survives, and the son of the late John C. Bowman and Luethisa Friddle Bowman. He was the owner of J.W. Bowman Heating and Air Conditioning. He was a member of Low’s Lutheran Church, a former council member and was very active on various church committees.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include a daughter, Mrs. Sara B. Shoffner and husband, Leonard R., of Alamance; a sister, Mrs. Martha Williams of Liberty; a brother, Mr. Jim Bowman of Haw River; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Nettie B. Brown; and four brothers, Mr. Hoyt Bowman, Mr. Charlie Bowman, Mr. Lewis Bowman, and Mr. Glenn Bowman. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at Low’s Lutheran Church by the Rev. Brian Ballard. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will be at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the residence.
