Burlington. - William Whitesell, 72, died at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon at his home on Peele Street after an illness of three years.
He was a native of Alamance County, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Whitesell.
Surviving are his wife; five children, Mrs. Buren Fender, Misses Ruth and Jean Whitesell, all of Burlington, John Whitesell of the U. S. Army, and David Whitesell of Burlington; four sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Pickett, Mebane, Mrs. John Beckom, Route 4, Burlington, Mrs. Lille Mansfield and Miss Mag Whitesell, both of Burlington; three brothers, James, Joseph and Bruce Whitesell, all of Burlington; and one great grandchild. 470, William M.
