BURLINGTON — Betty Whitesell Faucette, 72, 413 Laurel Hill Drive, died Monday, August 23, 2004, at her home.
She was born in Alamance County, to the late William Whitesell and the late Elizabeth McIntyre Whitesell Gerringer.
She was the wife of J. Howard Faucette for 57 years, who survives. Mrs. Faucette retired from Alamance Knit Fabrics.
Survivors other than her husband of the home include a son, William "Bill" Faucette and wife, Anne, of Graham; grandson, William Brian Faucette; stepgrandsons, Jason and Jeremy Thomas; and sister, Mary Ruth Mansfield of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Robert Faucette; sister, Annie Frances Fender; and brothers, John William Whitesell and David Elmo Whitesell.
The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory by the Rev. Eldon Hotle, and Rev. Tim Taylor. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
