Janie Crouse Whitesell, 85, of Kimesville Road, passed away at her home on Monday, February 27, 2023.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late George R. “Bob” Whitesell, and the daughter of Everette Brower Crouse and Blanche Whitt Crouse, both deceased.
Mrs. Whitesell was a lifetime member of St. Marks Church. She retired from St. Marks Church after many years as the church secretary and treasurer. She was a member of the Christian Workers’ Sunday School class and Circle 7.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Whitesell Moore and her husband Charles of Burlington; two grandsons, Jacob Moore and Patrick Moore.
She was preceded in death by a son, David R. Whitesell and an infant daughter.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at St. Marks Church in the Old Sanctuary at 2:00 pm. The family will have a reception in the church following the memorial service.

Janie Crouse Whitesell, 85, of Kimesville Road, passed away at her home on Monday, February 27, 2023.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late George R. “Bob” Whitesell, and the daughter of Everette Brower Crouse and Blanche Whitt Crouse, both deceased.
