William Frank "Bill" Hodge, Jr.

William Frank “Bill” Hodge, Jr., 89, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.  

He was born in Alamance County to the late William Frank, Sr. and Marion Gladys Kirkpatrick Hodge and was married for almost 66 years to Deneece Whitesell Hodge who survives. 

Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for over 21 years.  He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where he had served as Sunday school superintendent and sang in the choir.  He was a wood craftsman and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Deneece; children, David Hodge (Junko), Jeffrey Hodge (Cindy), Kim H. Sellars (Baxter); grandchildren, Pamala, Sarah, Alice, Nolan, Hannah, and Callie; great grandchildren, Jayden, Ava, Tegan, Scout, Goldie, one on the way, Eliza; and a niece who was more like a sister, Kay Isley.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Carol Isley and Patty Watson.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 19, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Randy Hobbs.  

Private interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
