Mr. James R. Motley
BURLINGTON — Mr. James Robert “Jimi” Motley, 38, of 3433 Danieley Water Wheel Road, died Wednesday, March
31, 1999, at his home.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Mrs. Glenda Henry Motley, who survives, and the late Mr. James Alfred
Motley. He was a civil engineer with J&G Builders. He was a graduate of Western Ala-mance High School, where he
played football for four years. He attended N.C. State University on a scholastic scholarship. He was a member of Harvest
Hills Church of God.
Survivors other than his mother of Burlington include a son, Mr. James Brandon Motley of Graham; a sister, Mrs. Lori
Motley Roney of Burlington; and a brother, Mr. Donald K. Motley of Madison, N.J.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jerry Tow, pastor of Harvest
Hills Church of God. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home from 7 to 8 this evening and at other times at the home of the mother, 629
Greenwood Drive, Burlington.
