DEATHS AND FUNERALS
MRS. ALICE A. WRENN
Mrs. Alice Apple Wrenn, 72, of Altamahaw, N.C., died at 2:30 this morning at her home after an illness of nine weeks. A native of Alamance county, she was the widow of the late J. T. Wrenn. Her parents were the late Lovick and Mrs. Edna Kernodle Apple.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 o'clock from the Bethlehem Christian church, by the Rev. G. C. Crutchfield, the Rev. G. W. Swinney and the Rev. P. V. Ellenberg. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Walter Murray, Rt. 1, Altamahaw; Mrs. J. M. McIntyre, route No. 1, Elon College; Mrs. G. W. Summers, Greensboro; and Mrs. D. L Barbee, route No.1, Altamahaw, N.C.; four sons: J. H. Wrenn, Greensboro, Maxie, Melvin and George Wrenn, Altamahaw; two brothers, J. B. Apple, Greensboro; Frank Apple, Glen Raven; 38 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Deaths And Funerals
MRS. ALICE A. WRENN
Last rites for Mrs. Alice Apple Wrenn of Altamahaw, who died on August 23, were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 o'clock from the Bethlehem church by the Rev. G. C. Crutchfield, the Rev. J. H. Loman, the Rev. G. W. Swinney and the Rev. F. V. Ellenberg. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Music was by the church choir with special selections by a quartette composed of Mesdames W. H. Marley, R. J. Latta, E. Z. Williams, and N. J. Shepherd.
Pall bearers were: Messrs. Joe McIntyre, Woodrow McIntyre, Ben McIntyre, Garland Denny, Otis Crumpton and Clarence McIntyre.
Flower bearers were: Mrs. Carl Gilliam and Mrs. G. A. Hendrix in charge, assisted by the Mesdames Lawrence Boone, M. V. Welch, Otis Thompson, Archie Simpson, Freeman Gerringer, Carl Simpson, Glyndon Moore, C. L. Simpson, Maxie May, Bessie Cook, Russell Simpson, Kathleen Barber and Wyona May and the Misses Maggie Crumpton, Wilma Summers, Edna Wrenn, Norman Wrenn, Frankie Wrenn, Mildred Wrenn, Rachel McIntyre and Elsie Murray. 467
