Ruth Lee Tate Huffines
   BURLINGTON — Ruth Lee Tate Huffines, 77, of Huffines Road went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 11, 2010 at ARMC surrounded by her family. She was a native of Caswell County and the wife of the late John William Huffines.

   Ruth was a homemaker and member of Bethel Christian Church. She was a member of the Women’s Fellowship Circle where she served in the past as president and treasurer. Ruth had a heart for children serving as a teacher in the Nursery Sunday school class for many years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

   Survivors include her sons, Gerry Huffines and his wife, Sherri and Ken Huffines and his wife, Beverly, all of Burlington; grandchildren, Abbey and Rebecca Huffines, stepgrandchild , Joshua McMahan and great-stepgrandchildren, Thomas and Benjamin Mc-Mahan; sister, Agnes Keatts of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Teresa Kay Huffines; parents, Fletcher and Ethel Tate.

   The funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Bethel Christian Church by the Rev. Barry L. Lane and the burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times at the home.

   Memorials may be made to Bethel Christian Church Playground Fund, 595 Baynes Road, Burlington, N.C. 27217.
