John Gerry Huffines
October 23, 1958 ~ December 12, 2021 (age 63)
John Gerry Huffines, 63, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Alamance County and lived in Caswell County his whole life. He was the son of the late John William and Ruth Tate Huffines and was married to Sherri Lynn Huffines.
Gerry was a lifelong farmer which engulfed his whole world and life. He was hardworking and was up at the crack of dawn until darkness set in. He enjoyed camping and late model car racing. He loved to go out to eat and enjoyed being with his family. He was a simple man that loved to farm. He will be missed by his family and friends and his dogs.
Survivors include his wife, Sherri Lynn Huffines of the home; daughter, Rebecca “Becca” Lynn Huffines; son, Joshua McMahan; grandchildren: Thomas McMahan, Ben McMahan and Hadley McMahan; a special friend, Michael Badges, Jr.; brother, Ken Huffines (Beverly); niece, Abbey Kay Huffines; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He will be missed especially by his fur babies: Stinker Lee, Fendi, Baby, Mocha, Gypsy and Rover.
Along with his parents, Gerry was preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Kay Huffines.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Bethel Christian Cemetery. He will be available for viewing from 5:00 till 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AuthoraCare Hospice Home, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 and Anderson Fire Department, 225 Baynes Rd., Burlington, NC 27217 and/or Bethel Christian Church, 638 Baynes Rd., NC 27217..
