BURLINGTON — Mrs. Lillian Daniels Gerringer, 93, died at Blakey Hall in Elon on Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, at 9:17 a.m.
A native of Caswell County, she was the wife of the late John David Gerringer and the daughter of Walter Bristo Daniels and Rosie Hicks Daniels, both deceased.
She retired from General Electric and was a volunteer for Alamance Regional Medical Center and Alamance County Meals on Wheels. Lillian was a member of Shallow Ford Christian Church, the Wondering Twig Garden Club and the Homemakers Extension Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Pricilla Bell and husband Jerry of Burlington; and sister, Margaret Walker of Orange County, N.C.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Allie Mae Wade, Christine Daniels and Qumiller Pruitt.
The funeral service will be conducted at Shallow Ford Christian Church on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Steve Regan with the family receiving friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times the family will be at the residence of Pricilla and Jerry Bell, 3600 Danieley Water Wheel Road, Burlington, N.C.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
