William Jerry Fonville, Jr.
William Jerry Fonville, Jr. passed away November 17, 2018. Born March 29, 1941, to William J. Fonville, Sr. and Iris S. Fonville, both deceased.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Harriet Fonville.
He is survived by a special friend, Betty Matackevick of Burlington; daughter, Belinda Beeson and husband, Bryan, of Colfax, NC; sister, Marcia Cope and husband Kenny, of Canton, NC; brother, Robert Fonville and wife Carmen, of Newport News, VA and several nieces and nephews.
He retired from the USDA Farm Services Agency with 39 years of service. He retired from Pleasant Grove Volunteer Fire Department with 37 years of service as a volunteer Firefighter/EMT.
He was a member of Longs Chapel Christian Church and the Roxboro Elk Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding and working on late model race cars.
Funeral services will be at Longs Chapel Christian Church on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the committal service.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Pleasant Grove Fire Department, 3847 N. NC 49, Burlington, NC 27217.
