Betty Chafin Matekovich, 78, of Burlington, NC passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Roxboro Healthcare Center.
A native of Bedford County, Betty Chafin Matekovich, 78, of Burlington, NC passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Roxboro Healthcare Center.
A native of Bedford County, VA, she was the daughter of Dewey Onyx Chafin and Otelia Overstreet Chafin, both deceased. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Betty loved to ride horses until she was unable to ride anymore.
Survivors include two sons, Christopher Matekovich and Todd Matekovich; three grandchildren, Dylan Matekovich, Ryder Matekovich, and Robert Allen Raines; and two great grandchildren, Memphis and August Raines. She was preceded in death by her companion, Jerry Fonville.
Memorials may be made to the National D-Day Memorial, 3 Overlord Cir, Bedford, VA 24523., she was the daughter of Dewey Onyx Chafin and Otelia Overstreet Chafin, both deceased. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Betty loved to ride horses until she was unable to ride anymore.
