BURLINGTON — Barnette Wilson Smith , 91, of 1777 Deep Creek Church Road, died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006, at the Hospice Home of Alamance.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother. She was a member of Long’s Chapel United Church of Christ and the Young at Heart Seniors at the church.
Survivors include a daughter, Libby S. Rainey and husband, Dean, of Burlington; son, Jennings (Jimmy) W. Smith and wife Rachel of Burlington; grandchildren, Brian Rainey and wife Deanna, Randall Smith and wife, Janna, Alexa Flynt and husband, Mark, and Michael Rainey and wife, Lisa; and great-grandchildren, Parks Colin Flynt and Jackson Jennings Rainey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jennings Smith ; her parents, Jasper and Nona Wilson; five sisters; and two brothers.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at Long’s Chapel United Church of Christ by the Rev. James Baughn.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be at McClure Funeral Service in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the residence of Libby and Dean Rainey, 1807 Deep Creek Church Road, Burlington.
