REIDSVILLE Roy Garland Chrismon , 78, of 1912 Belmont Drive, died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at Annie Penn Hospital.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at Reidlawn Cemetery with military graveside rites.

Mr. Chrismon was born in Rockingham County to the late Roy C. and Ollie Brown Chrismon . He was a veteran in the U.S. Army serving during WWII. He was the co-owner and operator of the Lucky Ford dealership and was a member of the First Congregational Christian Church. Mr. Chrismon was a former member of the Reidsville Lions Club and the Reidsville Elks Lodge, where he served on the Board of Directors for a number of years.

He is survived by his wife, Colleen Atkins Chrismon of the home; son, Michael Chrismon of Reidsville; grandson, Jason Chrismon of Kill Devil Hills; granddaughter, Sasha Leonard of Wanchese; great grandchildren, Caitlin and Noah; sisters, Rebecca Rakestraw and husband, Watson of Eden and Patricia Kopko and husband, Robert of Monessen, Pa. and special friend, Jenny Lynn Penn.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 15 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
