John Henry Payne, 81, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born March 8, 1933 in Guilford County to the late John Will Payne and Mary Cleo Brown Payne.
He was the husband of the late Virginia "Ginger" Summers Payne.
John was a farmer in the Osceola community. He was very generous and forgiving person who never met a stranger.
He is survived by his daughter, Wendy Payne; sons, Greg Payne and Randy Payne (Tina); two grandsons; and a sister, Jo Ann Green (Otis).
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Funeral services were Wednesday, October 15, 2014 by Pastor Dave Johnson and Rev. Joe West.
