Greg Payne,62, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025 at his home. He was born in Brown Summit, NC on February 2, 1963 to the late John Henry Payne and Ginger Summers Payne.  

Greg was a farmer all his life. He was always quiet but had a big heart and willing hands. Greg was the first to volunteer to help his family, friends and fellow farmers in whatever task needed to be done. Greg was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time on the family farm. 

Greg leaves behind his loving sister, Wendy Payne and his loving brother, Randy Payne and wife, Tina; his adored nephews, Michael (Ashley) Payne and Ethan (Alyssa) Payne; and two great nephews, Jaxon and Dallas Payne.

A Graveside Service of remembrance will be held at Apple’s Chapel Cemetery on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 1:00 PM. Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 11:00 AM till 12:30 PM at Lowe Funeral Home and then proceed to the cemetery. At other times the family will be at the home.
