Norvin Edison Scott, son of William E. Scott and Nola Ethel O'Dell Scott was born Oct. 21, 1924 in Wright County MO and died on April 8, 1986 at Breech Medical Center, Lebanon,MO.
On Oct. 15, 1944 he was married to Jayma Prock in Kansas City, KS. After spending a short time working in Idaho, he and Jayma returned to Missouri where they raised their family in the Grovespring and Lebanon areas.
Norvin was a truck driver by trade. At the time of his retirement, due to ill health, he was a school bus driver for the R-11 Schools. For the past few years he enjoyed making friends on his home based CB radio.
In 1945, Norvin was baptized. He was a member of the Church of Christ on S Hwy 5 in Lebanon.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, a brother, Floyd and three other brothers who died in infancy.He is survived by his wife, Jayma; one son,Larry and wife Linda of Springfield;five daughters, Hazel White,Temple,TX, Linda Coffey and Norma Arrington,both of Lebanon, Phyllis Cook,and her husband, Delbert of Oklahoma City, OK, and Helen Greer, and her husband Joey, of Jefferson City, MO;12 grandchildren and a sister in law, Jean Scott of Lebanon.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. 470, Norvin Edison Scott
