Emily “Susie” Brown Russell, 70, of Burlington, NC passed away at her residence on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
A native of Baltimore, MD, she was the wife of 49 years to Joe Russell, who survives and the daughter of Arthur Brown and Bertha Gates Brown, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by a son, Bobby Joe “B.J.” Russell; a brother, Junior Brown; and a sister, Jeanie Montgomery.
Susie was a self-employed vendor for Carolina Biological for over 25 years. She enjoyed listening to music and had many hobbies.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
