Kenneth Dwight Michael, 79, died on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Wesley Long Hospital.
Mr. Michael was born on May 27, 1941, in Guilford County to the late Dolphos Dwight Michael and Elgrith Naylor Michael.
He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force and later became an automotive mechanic, licensed plumber, and finished his working career for Paul N. Howard Company as a contractor serving locally and abroad. Kenneth loved traveling the United States, so much that he and his family drove to Alaska, camping and making memories along the way.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alfreda Joyce Parrish Michael on December 11, 2020.
Survivors include his son, Bradley Dwight Michael, daughter, Jennifer Purcell (Greg), sister, Vivian Michael Sutton; grandchildren, Dylan Michael, Dalton Michael, Savannah Michael, Cody Ham, Taylor Ham, and Landon Ham, and numerous other family members.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, January 11, 2021, at Hines Chapel Congregation Church Cemetery, McLeansville. Social distancing guidelines will be observed and face coverings are required.
