Alfreda “Freda” Joyce Parrish Michael, 70, died Friday, December 11, 2020, at Beacon Place in Greensboro.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2020 at Hines Chapel Congregation Church Cemetery. Social distancing guidelines will be observed and face coverings are required.
She was born on May 24, 1950 in Richmond, Virginia to the late Ralph Glenn Parrish and Sadie Loggins Parrish. Freda was of the Baptist faith. When health permitted, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Parrish and a sister, Jean Golembieski.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Dwight Michael; son, Bradley Dwight Michael, both of Greensboro; daughter, Jennifer Purcell and husband, Greg, of Bowling Green, Kentucky; sister Janet Crowder and husband, Kenny, of Richmond, VA; six grandchildren, Cody Ham, Taylor Ham, Landon Purcell, Dylan Michael, Dalton Michael and Savannah Michael and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 4615 Dundas Drive, Suite 103,
Greensboro, NC 27407.
