Unexpectedly Franklin "Lynn" Matherly went to be with our Lord on Nov. 13, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, daughter, and son.

Lynn will be remembered for his NASCAR addiction, riding his Harley and his good-natured teasing. Lynn proudly ran Matherly Trucking Company, but is proudest accomplishments were his children, whom he loved and adored.

The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Service in Mebane from 6-8:30 on Wednesday and other times at the home, 3502 Windale Lane, Mebane.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at The Lamb's Chapel, 2 p.m. Thursday, with the Pastor Steve Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
