OBIT: FRUITLAND -- James Dial Outen Sr., 86, of Fruitland died Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at Coastal Hospice At The Lake in Salisbury.
Born in Chester, Pa., he was the son of the late Othor and Florence Outen.
Mr. Outen worked for Crown, Cork and Seal for 15 years as a maintenance worker and welder. He was a member of Masonic Lodge and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Previously he owned and operated Serv-U-Oil Co. in Salisbury for 15 years.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Virginia Busick Outen; one son, James Dial Outen Jr. of Fruitland; a granddaughter, Marlo Jane Outen of Fruitland, who is attending the nursing program at Salisbury University; a sister, Marie Devonshire of New York; a niece, Beverly Stokley, who will be doing the eulogy, and her husband, Richard, of Salisbury; one nephew, Ricky Stokley Jr. of Salisbury; and many other nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Holloway Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Thomas Bunting will officiate. Interment will be in Wicomico Memorial Park. 470, James Dial Outen Sr.
