GIBSONVILLE — Gerald “Jerry” O’Neal Hord Jr., 47, of 4424 Jug
House Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at his home.
A native of Morehead City, he was the husband of Pamela Underwood
Hord, who survives, and the son of Ava Moore Hord and the late
Gerald O’Neil Hord Sr. He had lived in Alamance County for the past
21 years. He was the owner and operator of Metalmaster Machine
Shop, A U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Baptist Temple Church.
Survivors other than his wife of the home and his mother of Reidsville
include a son, Brent Hord and wife Amanda Hord of Reidsville; a
daughter, Andrea “Annie” Lynn Hord, a student at North Carolina
State University; a brother, Mark A. Hord of Gibsonville; and a
grandson, Hunter B. Hord of Reidsville.
The funeral will be conducted Friday at Citty Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens with military graveside
rites.
The family will see friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday at Citty Funeral
Home, and other times at the residence.
