STAUNTON - Julia Juanita (Vest) Feaganes, 65, of 739 Lee Jackson Highway, died Saturday evening, May 14, 2005, at the Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville. Mrs. Feaganes was born October 4, 1939 in Bland Co., the daughter of the late James Jackson and Willie Vest.
She was co-owner with her husband of Valley Sharpe Shop and was a member of Fishersville Baptist Church where she was director of the nursery for over 23 yrs.
She was an avid flower gardener.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Allan Jackson.
Survivors include her husband, Otis D. Feaganes, three sons, James Bernard Feaganes and his wife Robin, of Staunton, Michael Dudley Feaganes of Staunton, Patrick Allen Feaganes of Staunton, a daughter, Theresa Lynn Carter and her husband Steve, of Staunton, a sister, Dorothy Louise Vest of Dublin, and six grandchildren, Kevin James Feaganes, Ashley Danielle Feaganes, Jennifer Sue Feaganes, Dustin Jackson Feaganes, Julia Lynn Carter and Emily Margaret Carter.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Fishersville Baptist Church by the Revs. John Hamric and John Sullivan. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Deacons of Fishersville Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 P.M. this evening at Reynolds Funeral Service of Waynesboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the nursery department of Fishersville Baptist Church, 1518 Jefferson Highway, Fishersville, VA. 22939 Reynolds Funeral Service of Waynesboro is in charge of arrangements.
