Dalford Allen Woodyard Sr., 67, of Blacksburg, died Monday morning, August 13, 1995 in Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg, Va., following a long illness.
Born at White Gate, Va., he was a son of Leona Honaker Woodyard and the late Larry Woodyard of White Gate.
Allen was a member of First United Methodist Church of Pembroke and was retired from VPI&SU.
Survivors include his mother; his wife, Elsie C. Dickerson Woodyard; one son, Dalford A. Woodyard Jr., Pearisburg; one daughter, Kathy W. Ratcliffe, Pearisburg; four grandchildren, Natalie, Wesley, Stephanie and Michael; one brother, Raymond Woodyard, White Gate; one sister, Mary Kay Smith, White Gate; three stepdaughters, Barbara Gillenwater and Doris Dickerson, both of Christiansburg, and Susan Higgs, Blacksburg; two stepsons, Ronald Dickerso n, Shawsville and Jimmy Dickerson, Radford.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First United Methodist Church in Pembroke.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke, Va. Tuesday evening from 6 to 9 p.m.
