Donald Eugene (Gene) Stewart, age 63, died Monday, July 11, 1988, in Salem VA hospital.
He served with the Army during WW II.
He was a retired Giles Memorial Hospital employee with 31 years of service. He also served as a magistrate of Giles County for 12 years. He was a member of Ingram Village Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary V. Stewart; his mother, Ethel Atwell, Pearisburg; four sons, Daniel W. Stewart, Nashville, TN, Jeffrey P. Stewart, Radford, Gregory G. Stewart, Roanoke, Steven D. Stewart, Pearisburg; one sister, Mrs. Ilene (Virgil) Moye, Pearisburg; three grandchildren, Thomas J. Stewart, Amy S. Stewart, and Marcey A. Stewart.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kim Mustard and Rev. Dick Brown officiating. Military graveside rites in the Stinson Cemetery, White Gate.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. 716, Donald Eugene Stewart
